7.Dr. Ramakrishna Damle

• A retired professor of physics from Bangalore University, he has presented more than 150 research papers in national and international journals.
• Fellowship Award from the Commonwealth Commission (London) in 2005 and also served as a visiting professor in England.
• Promoted as Head of the Department of Physics, Bangalore University, for the period 2015-16.
• Served as Visiting Professor at North Eastern University, Shillong, Meghalaya, in 2017.

8.Dr. Prasad N. Bapat

• Born in 1985 in Shimoga.

• He received his master’s in physics from Mysore University.

15. Dr. Chandrasekhara Damle

 

• Known as Damle of ‘Sulya’s Snehashale.’
• A professor of sociology at the Nehru Memorial College, Sullya, along with his profession, Damle holds a doctorate from the University of Poona in the study of land reforms and changing agrarian reforms.
• Damle is active in various fields such as literature, education, research, column writing, novel writing, and storytelling, and he is an amateur Yakshagana artist.
• Awarded by the Indian Jaycee organization in 1990 for his achievements.

16. Dr. Mahesh Narayan Kakatkar

• The University of Mysore honored him with a doctorate degree.

20. Dr. Smita Chiplunkar

• Born in 1952.
• Daughter of Dattatreya Narayana Limeya and Ushara, natives of Jamkhandi and residents of Hubli.
• Along with her teaching career, she is known to the listeners of Aakashvani as a resource person since the early days of Aakashvani, translating Hindi dramas into Kannada and announcing national Hindi language programs.
• Ph D. degree from Karnataka University for presenting a research paper on ‘Do Dashakonke Hindi Ke Pramukh Vyangyachitrakar.’

21. Dr. Sunil Suresh Chiplunkar

• Born in 1969 to Suresh Ganapathi Chiplunkar and Lata.
• Graduated with a B.Pharma in 1990 from Mysore J.S.S. College and received an M.Pharma in 1992 from Government College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bangalore.
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Management, MBA in Marketing degree
• In 2023, presented a research paper in pharmaceutical sciences and received a Ph.D.

22. Dr. Vasudeva Dongre

• Born in 1964.
• He belongs to the Patnahitlu Dongre family of Mala village in the Karkala taluk of the Dakshina Kannada district.
• Father Shankara Dongre and Mother Parvati.
• Graduation in Sanskrit from Sadvidya Sanjeevini Sanskrit Pathshala, Sringeri, followed by post-graduation from Maharaja Sanskrit College, Mysore.

23.Late. Dr. Vamana Dattatreya Bendre

• Professorship in People’s College, Nanded, from 1959 to 1962.
• He then continued his studies in philosophy and sciences.

• He has contributed immensely to the field of science through continuous research.

28. Prof. Navkanth Bhat (Gore)

• Son of G. Ramnath Bhatt Gore and Chandravati.
• He graduated from Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore, in 1989 with a BE in Electronics and Communication and an M.Tech in Microelectronics from IIT Bombay in 1992.
• He received his Ph D from Stanford University in 1996.
• He is a very big name internationally in nanotechnology research in the field of science.
